As you read this, we are at the close pf Passion week/Holy Week, and are celebrating Resurrection Sunday, or Easter-the holiest day of the Christian calendar. Jesus was raised from the borrowed tomb after 3 days. He appeared to Mary, who didn’t recognize Him at first. He appeared to the two on the road to Emmaus-who also didn’t know who they were talking to until at dinner their eyes were opened. He appeared to His disciples in the Upper Room (all except Thomas). Later, Thomas too, who didn’t believe until he saw Jesus for himself, and in the end said “My Lord and My God.” In response, Jesus said “Blessed are they who have not seen-yet believe. He appeared to others, and at one time, appeared to a group of 5oo.

You can go find the graves of Buddha and other figures from other faiths-but not Jesus’s! The grave is empty. He has risen! He has risen indeed!

I gave my life to the Lord Easter morning 1983 in the balcony of a church in downtown Winston. A new life. A new faith. What better time than Easter to give a life to the Lord-to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord-confessing Him with our mouths and confessing Him with our hearts-Jesus is Lord! He died for our sins, but rose again! After 40 days, He ascended to His Father in Heaven, and has gone to prepare a place for us!

Tell your family and friends-tell others you meet-the story of the Gospel of Jesus! Their life will be forever change as they accept Him! Jesus-king of kings and Lord of lords! Blessed be the name of Jesus!

Pastor’s Corner – March 2025

Pastor’s Corner - March 2025 I am currently listening to the song “Sweet Land of Rest”. It says there’s a land where joy is waiting, far beyond all space and time. It continues “there will be no separation; no more pain; no sad good-byes. One day all is matchless...
