MOTHERS
A mother is the only person on Earth who can divide her love among ten children and each child still have all of her love.
Mom, you are the salt of the Earth. More valuable than precious stones. You made our house into a home. You have touched each life with your gentle, loving hands. You always encourage us to be the best we can be. Without you, our lives would be empty and void. Thank you MOM for taking your job so seriously. Your husband and children repeat the words of Psalm 31, and call you blessed.
Mothers are people who sweep things like porches and cobwebs and rugs;
Soft-hearted people who keep things, like artwork and hugs.
Mothers are people who nurse things-a boy, a girl, or a spouse.
All in all there are worse things, than Mothers in your house!
Christian Mothers
What awesome toil of love to womankind is given;
To point small souls to God, to guide young feet toward Heaven.
God sent His only begotten Son in human form one day.
A warm and tiny bundle in Mary’s arms to lay.
Twas God’s purpose and His plan that mother-love should comfort man;
That every child on Earth might know God’s love and guidance here below;
That Jesus died to save from sin, that little hearts be pure within.
By spoken word and gentle touch, by loving arms that mean so much.
A glimpse of God’s own tender love should cause each mother heart to move.
Tho some are mothers, others are not; each woman has her given spot.
Guardian, counselor, teacher, friend that mother-love should have no end.
O mother hearts, reach out today; turn to Christ, have faith and pray.

MEMORIAL DAY
All gave some; some gave all.
He Can’t Come Home
He can’t come home, He’s gone on home, He fell on foreign sod.
He heard the call, He gave his all, for country, home and God.
He can’t come home, He’s gone on home, where war clouds never rise,
His day is gone, new life has begun, in lovely Paradise.
He can’t come home, he’s gone on home, where foxholes are no more.
No anguish now, no fevered brow-He’s safe forevermore.
He can’t come home, he’s gone on home, dear lad, so young, so fair;
God’s will is best-in Him we rest, until we meet up there.
Thank You
We walked among the crosses where our fallen soldiers lay
And listened to the bugle as TAPS began to play.
The chaplain led a prayer, we stood with heads bowed low.
And I thought of fallen comrades I had known so long ago.
They came from every city across this fertile land that we might live in freedom, they lie here neath the sand.
I felt a little guilty, my sacrifice was small. I only lost a little time-but these men lost their all.
Now the services are over, for this Memorial Day.
To the names upon these crosses, I just want to say-
Thanks for what you’ve given, no one could ask for more.
May you rest with God in Heaven from now through evermore.

CHUCKLES
Joe and Frank were in the office and noticed someone had put up a suggestion box with some 3×5 cards next to it. Both decided that this was a great idea, and each took a card to fill out. Joe wrote: “The office workers should all be given raises!” When he looked at Frank’s card, it said: “Can we all have raises?…..and keys to the executive washroom and personal secretaries and new company cars and new coffee cups and longer lunch breaks and holidays on St Patrick’s Day, Columbus Day, and Martin Luther King’s birthday?
Joe said “Frank, you shouldn’t put all of your begs in one ask-it,”
On beautiful Sunday morning, the minister came in and said: “My good people, I have in my hands 3 sermons. A $100 sermon lasts 5 minutes; a $50 sermon lasts 15 minutes; and a $10 sermon lasts a full hour. Now we’ll take up the collection and see which one I deliver!”
A famous football coach was on vacation with his family in Maine. When they walked into the theatre and sat down, the handful of people there applauded. “He thought to himself-I can’t believe it. People recognize me all the way up here!” Then a man came over and said “Thanks for coming. They won’t start the movie unless we have 10 or more paying people!”
