                                                                           IF

If I had lived when Jesus lived and walked along with Him,
When came the day that He must give His life for all man’s sins-
Could I have looked on Him?
Could I have watched them drive the nails into His hands and feet?
Or would I have had to run and hide until it was complete?
Could I have looked upon the cross whereas Christ my Lord was hung?
Could I have bathed His wounded side, or would I again have run?
But even now the nails are driven into His hands anew,
Each time we see His work to do and fail to see it through.
Each time we hear a call for help and turn our ears away,
I wonder if we’re not the ones that are driving nails today?
So let us start anew this day and strive to help each one
That Jesus sends along our way, so when our life on earth is done,
Our precious Lord can truly say “Come home My child, well done!”

Easter and the Butterfly
The butterfly is one of the symbols used to signify Easter. Its whole life cycle is symbolic of the meaning of Easter. First, there is the caterpillar-life. Second is the cocoon-death. Then the butterfly-resurrection.

Easter
O glorious morn, glad Easter day, when Christ arose from the grave,
He shed His blood, my soul to save, He is the Way, the Truth, the Way.
He gave His life to ransom all, for all are sinners through the fall.
But now God’s children we can be-all because of Calvary.
He died to save, He rose to keep all His precious blood-washed sheep,
Accept Him now, be saved today.    Rejoice, be glad this Easter day!

EASTER
E is for evil in each of us born
A is for agony suffered that morn
S is for Savior Who gave up His life
T is for tears that were shed through His strife
E is for everything suffered for me
R is for redemption upon Calvary’s tree.

Put them all together they spell EASTER, the word that means eternity.

CHUCKLES
A couple has their first child. Everything must be perfect and clean. The child is in a high chair and drops a cookie. They throw the cookie away and get a new cookie. The second child comes along. Again, a cookie from the high chair is dropped. The parents pick it up; blow on it; and says “five minute rule; and gives it back. Then the third child comes.  Everyone is tired and anything goes. The child is in the high chair and drops a cookie. They put the child on the floor with the cookie.

The stockbroker’s secretary answered his phone one morning. They wanted to know if he was bullish or bearish right now. The secretary said “Well, he is on the phone with his wife right now, so I’d say he is sheepish.

Mary was only four, and her skin was starting to peel from her first suntan. She looked in the mirror and said “I’m only 4 and already starting to wear out!”

A young minister went to the door of a tired housewife, asking for collections for a new project. He asked the lady to give all she could. She said “I’ll give you 2 boys, 2 girls, or 1 of each.”

One of life’s great mysteries is how the boy that wasn’t good enough for your daughter can be the father of the world’s smartest grandchild.

Pastor’s Corner – September 2024

Pastor’s Corner - September 2024 23 years ago, our nation was attacked, unlike anything we had seen since Pearl Harbor and the beginning of WWII for the US. The World Trade Center towers-once symbols of America’s Free Enterprise system and American strength, were...

Pastor’s Corner – August 2024

Pastor’s Corner - August 2024 As I write this, the world seems to be spinning faster and faster. Tonight for only the second time in American history, a President has gone on TV and announced he is not seeking a second term in office. Whatever you think of President...

Pastor’s Corner – July 2024

Pastor’s Corner - July 2024 As we once again get ready to celebrate our country’s birthday, we are reminded fresh and anew that freedom is not free. We are free, and we take that for granted every day. We assume everyone in the world has such freedom, but it isn’t...
